Do You Wear Wigs?

Hey everyone! With the bigger days coming up, I wanted to share an updated hair installation video with you all. This time, I'm using a UHAIR wig to secure my look. Let's dive into the step-by-step process!

Step 1: Preparing Your Hair and Wig Cap
Brush Your Edges: Before putting on the wig cap, brush your edges back with some gel and moisturize them with hair food to ensure your skin isn't dry and your hairline is protected.
Put on the Wig Cap: Place a standard wig cap on your head. If it's lighter than your skin tone, don't worry; we'll blend it later with foundation.
Secure the Cap: Use Got2b spray and a hair dryer on cool air to secure the wig cap. Let it sit for a bit to ensure it’s properly attached.

Step 2: Blending the Wig Cap
Apply Foundation: Before cutting the wig cap, blend it with your skin using your regular foundation. This step makes it easier to blend the cap seamlessly.
Cut the Cap: Carefully cut the wig cap close to your hairline. I find using kitchen scissors works well because they are sharp and quick.

Step 3: Applying the Wig
Glue Application: Use Ghost Bond glue on a mixing surface. Apply three layers if you plan to wear the wig for a week; one layer is sufficient for a day.
Secure the Cap: Add a small amount of glue to further secure the wig cap, but not too much, as it can make the cap more visible.
Apply Glue to the Skin: Apply the glue where you want to stick the wig. Avoid putting too much on the cap to prevent visibility issues.
Let the Glue Dry: Spread the glue thinly to ensure it dries quickly and evenly. Wait until it's clear before proceeding.

Step 4: Placing the Wig
Align the Wig: Position the wig, ensuring it's centered with equal space on both sides.
Press Down: Start in the center and pull down on the wig, pressing lightly to avoid making the lace obvious.
Use a Silk Band: Press the lace down with a silk band to secure it firmly.

Step 5: Melting the Lace
Got2b Spray: Apply Got2b spray to melt the lace into your skin. This step makes the lace virtually invisible.
Cool and Hot Air: Use a hair dryer with cool air first, then hot air to set the lace.

Step 6: Styling Baby Hairs
Section Baby Hairs: Decide where you want your baby's hairs. Use a small straightener to curl them slightly.
Trim Excess Hair: Cut off any excess hair to get the desired length.
Mousse Application: Apply mousse to brush away baby hairs you won’t use and blend them into the hairline.
Got2b for Hold: Apply Got2b to keep the baby hairs in place.
Final Touches
Adjust Parting: Find the perfect parting for your style.
Blend with Powder: Use a little powder to blend the lace in any areas that look too obvious.
Finish Up: If you like baby hairs, style them as desired. If not, you can skip this step.
Additionally, this UHAIR wig comes in a beautiful dirty blonde hair color, which I absolutely love. The butterfly hair cut style adds a modern, chic look that's perfect for any occasion. And for those who enjoy creative hairstyles, consider adding some peekaboo hair to make your look pop.

And that’s it! This is how I install and style my UHAIR wig. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, these steps should help you achieve a flawless look. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or tips to share. Until next time, stay fabulous!
