Effortless Beauty: A Beginner's Guide to Installing a UHAIR "Wear & Go" Glueless Curly Wig

The first thing that I noticed is the orange box, and of course, they give you this velvety bag to store your wig in case you don't want to use the box. They give you many goodies, including 2 wig caps, an elastic band, and a wig brush—all the tools you need for a seamless glueless install.

Hair Details:
The hair I'm going to be using today is their 13x6 Lace Front Ready-to-Wear Curly Bob wig which already comes with bleached knots. The cap is fitted, meaning you can wear it with no gel, glue, or spray because it's glueless! This is their 16-inch, 180-density wig.

Installation:
I've already cornrowed my hair underneath. Here's a quick look at the hairline, which is pre-plucked and pre-bleached. I didn't have to do anything except cut off the lace. Usually, with wear-and-go units, you don't have to cut off the lace. I got this custom because I specifically asked for a small cap, but I could have stuck with the medium-sized cap which would have come with the lace already cut off.

Since I'm not new to installing wigs, this wasn't a fuss. Typically with curly hair, I sometimes like the baby hair look. If you aren't into baby hair, that's okay, but let me show you how to style it up just a notch.

Styling:
I sectioned off three areas for my swoops. With my hot comb heated up, I pushed the FlyAway hairs back. The cap is super transparent, blending seamlessly into my scalp. To cut the baby's hair, I used a razor comb, twisting the hair and giving it a snip, no shorter than about an inch. I used a combination of mousse and edge booster for a light hold, giving it that scalp effect.

Once happy with the baby hair, I used their curly wig band to lay everything down for a melted look. For the curls, I used a spray bottle with tap water and some mousse to set them. If you like a more natural frizzy look, you can skip the mousse.

Drying:
In a rush to get to a birthday dinner, I used my Pattern Beauty blow dryer with a diffuser. The diffuser cups the hair, focusing the heat to dry the hair faster without causing frizz. I separated the curls with my fingers to give it a lift.

The final look was supernatural. You'd think I did a full meltdown with spray, but nothing was needed. As long as your cornrows are flat, the medium cap should work fine. If you order a small cap, it takes a bit more time to create.

Finishing Touches:
I added a little mousse to smooth out the hairline, avoiding that harsh pressed look. Deciding on a part, I used water and mousse with a paddle brush and blow dryer to redefine the top portions. The hair looked soft, and bouncy, and had a nice luster. The edges did their job perfectly.

This style was effortless since I didn't need to pluck or bleach the knots. Baby hairs are optional. Just throw it on and go. For a simple look, brush it back, wet it, define the curls, and you're done.

Final Thoughts:
I usually do middle parts with curly hair, but I switched it up. The wig is a keeper, perfect for vacations, and easy to take off at night. No tangling or shedding so far.
