How Do You Put on a Wig?

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog. I'm thrilled to share a quick and easy wig application tutorial with you all. but I still want to keep posting regular content. This year, I've really gotten into wigs. Let me tell you, wigs have boosted my confidence so much, and I love switching up my hair. So, I decided to show you how I apply my wigs from start to finish. Let's dive in!

What You’ll Need
Before we begin, here are the products you'll need:
613 hair wig (or a wig in your desired color)
Wella toner (for coloring, if necessary)
Wig cap (closest to your natural skin color)
Got2B Glued Blasting Freeze Spray
Rat tail comb
Lace glue (I use Lia Luxe by Priscilla)
Fabric or a cut-up T-shirt
Matte eyeshadow (optional)
Wax stick (I use Leia Lux Hair Wax Stick)
Hot comb (for wig styling, not real hair)

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Tone the Wig
If you have a 613 hair wig, it’s the lightest you can bleach hair. It’s pure bleached hair, and you may want to tone it to get your desired color. I used three bottles of Wella toner to achieve a beautiful ashy tone. However, if you're a beginner, consider buying a wig in the color you want to avoid the complexities of coloring.

2. Prepare Your Natural White Hair
Make sure your natural hair is as flat as possible. If braids don’t work for you, try compressing your hair with the Got2B Glued Blasting Freeze Spray. Spray your hair, use a rat tail comb to comb it back, and tie it into a low ponytail. This step is crucial to avoid a bulky look.

3. Put on the Wig Cap
Place the wig cap over your flattened hair. If you used the ponytail method, you might want to double up on wig caps to ensure everything stays in place.

4. Apply the Wig
Take your lace front wigs, and put them on from the back, making sure the clips are secure. Position the wig as close to your hairline as possible.

5. Cut and Glue the Lace
Cut the lace in sections, getting as close to the hair as possible. Apply lace glue around the hairline and wait for it to dry. Pull down the lace and press it onto your skin. Use a piece of fabric or a cut-up t-shirt to wrap around your hairline and let it set for about 10 minutes.

6. Style the Wig
Once the lace is secure, you can start styling. Apply matte eyeshadow to the roots for a more realistic look. Use a nude pigment or concealer to blend the lace with your skin. Finally, use a wax stick to tame flyaways and a hot comb to lay the hair flat.

Final Touches
For a more natural look, consider adding layers and using a straightener to create bends at the ends. This will give your wig a lived-in look.

Conclusion
And there you have it! A step-by-step guide to applying a wig that looks natural and fabulous. I hope you found this tutorial helpful. If you did, please like this post and share it with your friends. Thanks for reading, and see you next time!

Additional Tips
Wig Selection: Choose a lace front wig for a more natural look. A 13x6-inch lace front allows for more styling options.
Lace Types: Opt for invisible lace or super light-tinted lace that matches your skin tone.
Parting: A well-defined part makes the wig look more realistic. Use concealer or eyeshadow slightly lighter than your skin tone to define the part.
